MAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated onSaturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. for Joyce Morein, 83, at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Sibley officiating the services.
Mrs .Morein, a native of Mamou, passed away on Wednesday , September 3, 2008 at 8:30 am at the home of her daughter in Slidell, La.
A Loving Mother , Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, she is survived by five daughters, Janice Hollier McGee and husband, Carl of Carlyss, La, Sherron Hollier of Metairie, La, Flo Lebleu and husband, Lambert of Slidell, La, Dianna Morein Gamboa and husband, Eddy of Patterson, La and Carla Marie Morein of Morgan City, La; two sisters, Laura Mae LOU Bertrand, of Elton, La and Loretta Jane Parker of Petersburg, Va. All who knew and loved her will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Isom Morein and Kirby Hollier; her parents Celestine and France Fontenot; one brother Jessie Fontenot; one sister, Priscilla Lejeune and one grandchild, Kimberly Lebleu.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, September 5, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until Services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
Ardoins Funeral Home of Mamou is in charge of arrangements.
